And once again, in what has been a whirlwind of learning, growing, failing and succeeding, we are staring down the last few days of 2024.  2024 has been a truly adventurous year for RainTree Business Coaching.  We have boldly worked with new clients, made difficult decisions about the future of the business and waltzed (or twerked, if you ask Leoni) in the music that is the amazing progress our clients and coaches have made.  2024, while not easy, has been dynamic and demanding.  Most of us are feeling tired and ready for a bit of a break.  No matter whether you found it awful or easy, 2024 is a year to remember.

As the RainTree team always do at this time of the year, we have taken some time to reflect.  We have recognised what we have learnt, decided what we will leave behind in 2024 and what we will take forward and grow to new heights in 2025.  It is from this place of integration that we will start 2025.

I have previously shared our reflection process (which is inspired by Donna McCallum).  It is a four-question process that we gift to you to use for yourself, your team and your business:

  1. List your 2024 successes and celebrations?
  2. List what didn’t work in 2024?
  3. List the lessons and/or gifts that came from what didn’t work?
  4. What are you taking from 2024 into 2025?

Having completed the process, the RainTree team has become clear about what we are good at and what we must celebrate.  We have intentionally highlighted these points and been able to acknowledge each person’s role in making these successes part of our 2024 reality.  It has felt amazing to remember that, despite the challenges, 2024 has had so many successes.

We have explored what didn’t work.  This honest review has helped us to be honest about our growth areas.  We have built a plan of the systems we need to strengthen.  We are so grateful for the feedback that has allowed us to recognise and own where we will be better next year.

The lessons and gifts we have received from the failures have helped us to design the solutions that strengthen our areas of weakness.  We have a plan that will allow us to scale RainTree. We will serve more clients and provide even better support to our coaches because we have been able to learn from these failures and mistakes.  We are stronger, clearer and even more motivated about the support we will provide to Middle Managers in 2025.

When we reflect on what we want to take with us from 2024 into 2025, we choose to take you, our clients, friends, supporters, coaches, and partners.  We commit to continue learning, growing, and making coaching a powerful and successful solution for every one of our communities.  You keep RainTree and our team current, interesting, insightful and effective as coaches and business leaders.  We take our collaboration partnerships into 2025 as we work together to make business the mechanism by which our society achieves its full potential. 

Thank you for 2024.  We are stronger for it.
